Commit 21efc940f6 ('wpa_supplicant: Do not
register a P2P management interface on DBus') hides the special P2P
management interface from D-Bus. However, it did not take into account
the possibility of wpa_s->dbus_path and wpa_s->dbus_new_path being NULL
in such cases on number of code paths within the D-Bus handlers. This
could result in invalid arguments (NULL path) being provided to D-Bus
functions (mainly, dbus_message_iter_append_basic) and NULL pointer
dereference when iterating over all interfaces. Either of these could
make wpa_supplicant process terminate.
Fix this by explicitly checking that the interface-specific D-Bus path
has been registered before using it anywhere with D-Bus handlers. In
addition, find the correct wpa_s instance to fix P2P operations through
D-Bus when the P2P Device interface is used.

The dbus interface documentation says the following about the
WPS property of the fi.w1.wpa_supplicant1.BSS interface:
==
WPS information of the BSS. Empty dictionary indicates no WPS support.
Dictionary entries are:
Type s "pbc", "pin", ""
==
However the implementation returns "type" => "" for BSSes
that do not support WPS.
Fix the implementation to match the documentation.
Return empty dictionary if there is no WPS support.
And "type" => "" if WPS is supported, but is not in progress
right now.

wpa_supplicant_deinit_iface() ends up removing all P2P groups if the
removed interface is the parent interface. This is correct behavior in
general, but this resulted in issues in the new group interface
initialization error path since wpa_s->parent was not assigned before
hitting this check. Fix this by assigning wpa_s->parent as part of
wpa_supplicant_add_iface().

Commit 6aeeb6fa21 ('dbus: clean up new
D-Bus interface getters and setters') redesigned the property
getter/setter calls in a way that made the
wpas_dbus_error_unknown_error() note about message being NULL in some
cases obsolete. All the remaining callers are from method handler
functions that must have a valid message. Remove the obsolete notes and
unnecessary messsage == NULL check.

There is no need to have multiple separate return statements for error
cases in a sequence of operations. In addition, there is not much point
in "converting" boolean return values with "if (!res) return FALSE;
return TRUE;" style constructions.

None of the new D-Bus interface cases use the bssid_part in
decompose_object_path (while the old interface ones do). As such, this
is dead code and can be removed. In addition, the P2P addition here was
pretty ugly extension. Replace these with a cleaner way of passing the
separating string (e.g., "Networks") from the caller and returning the
requested item.
In addition, there is no need to allocate the returned item separately,
so use a single allocation and a pointer to that allocated memory. This
will make it easier for callers to have to free only a single
allocation. This is also fixing a memory leak in P2P invitation
persistent group case where the caller had missed the need to free the
returned values.

"Age" is the age in seconds since the BSS was last seen, and is
emitted as a PropertyChanged signal whenever the BSS is updated
from a scan result. It also returns the correct age when queried
directly.
This property can be used to resolve issues where, if no other
properties of the BSS changed from scan results (for example,
if the BSS always had 100% signal) no D-Bus signals would be
emitted to indicate that the BSS had just been seen in the scan.

Add "reattach" command to perform single-channel single-ssid scan
instead of full scan when trying to reconnect to the currently
"connected" network (assuming old scan results are not current enough to
skip the scan completely). This allows the scan result to come back in
much faster time. In ath9k, the scan took around 12 seconds with full
background scan, and only 0.1 second with the single-channel single-ssid
scan. Thus, take much less time for the client to re-establish
connection with the currently "connected" network.

Passing a pointer to an error reply message is not very robust since
memory allocation could fail even for that error message. Instead, use a
separate error value as the return value from get_peer_hwaddr_helper()
and return a pointer to the error message through a pointer-to-pointer
so that the error case will always be clear.

There are a few instances where dbus handlers test the value
of errno to test whether strtoul completes successfully.
Since strtoul does not clear errno, and there's no strong
reason to suspect that errno is already clear, it is safer
to clear it right before calling strtoul. Also, any failure
in strtoul (setting errno non-zero) should be considered a
failure.
While testing using dbus-send, I found that a malformed
network path can cause a crash due to net_id being left
NULL. We should test for this before calling strtoul
on it.

This allows both hostapd and wpa_supplicant to be used to derive and
configure keys for GCMP. This is quite similar to CCMP key
configuration, but a different cipher suite and somewhat different rules
are used in cipher selection. It should be noted that GCMP is not
included in default parameters at least for now, so explicit
pairwise/group configuration is needed to enable it. This may change in
the future to allow GCMP to be selected automatically in cases where
CCMP could have been used.
This commit does not included changes to WPS or P2P to allow GCMP to be

Use wpa_supplicant_set_state() to initialize state to DISCONNECT so that
autoscan gets initialized properly. This needs a change in

Signed-hostap: Jouni Malinen <j@w1.fi>
Like bgscan, autoscan is an optional module based feature to automate
scanning but while disconnected or inactive.
Instead of requesting directly a scan, it only sets the scan_interval
and the sched_scan_interval. So, if the driver supports sched_scan,
autoscan will be able to tweak its interval. Otherwise, the tweaked
scan_interval will be used. If scan parameters needs to be tweaked, an
autoscan_params pointer in wpa_s will provide those. So req_scan /
req_sched_scan will not set the scan parameters as they usually do, but
instead will use this pointer.
Modules will not have to request a scan directly, like bgscan does.
Instead, it will need to return the interval it wants after each
notification.

Some applications require knowing about probe requests to identify
devices. This can be the case in AP mode to see the devices before they
connect, or even in P2P mode when operating as a P2P device to identify
non-P2P peers (P2P peers are identified via PeerFound signals).
As there are typically a lot of probe requests, require that an
interested application subscribes to this signal so the bus isn't always
flooded with these notifications. The notifications in DBus are then
unicast only to that application.
A small test script is also included.

A number of fixes/improvements here:
1) Remove casting of getter/setter function types which allows
us to change the prototypes in the future and not have hard-to-find
runtime segfaults
2) Instead of having the getters create a fake reply message which
then gets its arguments copied into the real reply message, and is
then disposed, just pass message iters around and have them add
their arguments to the message itself
3) For setters, just pass in the message iter positioned at the
start of the argument list, instead of each setter having to skip
over the standard interface+property name
4) Convert error handling to use DBusError and return the error
back down through the call stacks to the function that will
actually send the error back to the caller, instead of having a
fake DBusMessage of type DBUS_MESSAGE_TYPE_ERROR that then
needs to have the error extracted from it.
But most of all, this fixes various segfaults (like rh #725517
and #678625) which were caused by some functions deep down in the
getter callpaths wanting a source DBusMessage* when the getters were
used for two things: signals (which don't have a source DBusMessage)
and methods (which will have a source DBusMessage that's being
replied to). This duality made the code fragile when handling
errors like invalid IEs over the air.

Replace compile-time BSS cache expiration age and scan count by config
parameters that can be set via wpa_cli and the new D-Bus API. The latter
is done with interface properties BSSExpireAge and BSSExpireCount.
This adds a new command to the interface to remove all configured
netblocks. Without this it's necessary to query properties on the
interface and explicitly remove each netblock.
Add an "Interface.FlushBSS" method to the new D-Bus API and a "flush"
method to the old API. Both take an age parameter that is a threshold
(in seconds) for selecting entries to evict. Setting this parameter
to zero flushes all entries from the cache.
This mechanism is useful for a connection manager to clear state at
startup and on resume (where the age parameter may be used to hold
onto recent/valid data).
This provides feature parity with the old-style D-Bus API. Explicit
properties to control global parameters is preferred but until that
happens this allows doing things like setting pkcs11_engine_path and
pkcs11_module_path via D-Bus.

The new DBus API helper function wpas_dbus_error_unknown_error
function can be called as a result of a failure within internal
getter calls, which will call this function with a NULL message
parameter. However, dbus_message_new_error looks very unkindly
(i.e, abort()) on a NULL message, so in this case, we should not
call it.
I've observed this course of events during a call to
wpas_dbus_getter_bss_wpa with a faileld parse of the IE parameter.
We got here through a call to fill_dict_with_properties which
explicitly calls getters with a NULL message parameter. Judging
from the way it is called, this could easily occur if an AP sends
out a malformed (or mis-received) probe response. I usually run
into this problem while driving through San Francisco, so I'm
exposed to any number of base stations along this path.

Should be: 1 broadcast ProbeRequest on specified channel
Previous: No ProbeRequests; Passive scan results for specified
channel (plus overlapping channels)
This Patch: --Fixed--: 1 broadcast ProbeRequest on specified channel
This clears up authentication state in the driver and in case of
cfg80211, unlocks the BSS entry for the previously used AP. The
previous commit cf4783e35f changed
only the ctrl_iface DISCONNECT command behavior; this new commit
does the same for D-Bus commands.
Add "wpa-ft-psk", "wpa-psk-sha256", "wpa-ft-eap" and "wpa-eap-sha256"
possible KeyMgmt values of interface capabilities to fit values in
BSS RSN options dictionary.
Despite comments in the wpa_config_update_prio_list(struct wpa_config
*config) telling that it is called "if priority for a network is
changed", it is apparently not.

Expose RSN and WPA properties for BSS objects containing information
about key management and cipher suites. Get rid of WPA/RSN/WPSIE
byte array properties and add IEs byte array property with all IE data
instead.
Instead of using some magic integer values that really only mean
something to WPA internal code, just use simple strings. Possible
values are "msgdump", "debug", "info", "warning" and "error" which
map directly to WPA debugging support.
This fits better in wpa_supplicant/scan.c. Couple of remaining
scan_helpers.c functions are currently used in driver wrappers,
but they can likely be removed in the future.
